New IRTC White Paper Published

We are pleased to announce the release of our white paper: “Global Assessments and Strategies for Critical and Strategic Raw Materials: The State of Play in 2025.”

This report presents findings from the latest IRTC discussions, highlighting the critical role of raw materials in shaping economic, climate, industrial, and security policies. As nations increasingly prioritize critical and strategic raw materials (CSRMs), this document provides a comprehensive analysis of the current state and emerging strategies across various jurisdictions, including Brazil, Canada, the European Union, France, India, Japan, Türkiye, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The paper covers methodologies employed by different countries to secure essential raw materials vital for advancing clean energy and defense technologies. Shared challenges that underscore the necessity for cohesive governance of CSRMs include geopolitical tensions and supply chain vulnerabilities. The paper emphasizes the importance of strategic governance in addressing interconnected risks associated with critical raw materials.

This white paper serves as a resource for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and researchers focused on the future of global raw materials infrastructure. It aims to foster informed discussions and collaborative efforts towards a more resilient and sustainable supply chain for critical raw materials.

We encourage interested parties to engage with the findings and explore the implications for their sectors.
