IRTC has developed a decision tool for companies to better understand and mitigate raw material criticality. The tool aims to help companies assess their risks associated with raw materials and offers possibilities to mitigate these risks. The tool is based on a cause-and-effect model that links a company’s potential exposure to raw material criticality to well-known indicators that serve as early warning signals. The model is the result of several rounds of Round Table discussions and research by the Consortium.
Suggestions for mitigating risks are linked to the model based on the ability of measures to reduce the causes of the risks, a company’s exposure to the risks, or the potential damage to a company. The tool raises awareness of raw material supply risks and assists companies in making decisions to better manage critical raw materials. You can check out the tool for free and without registration.
