IRTC establishes courses that train professionals in industry, research and policy-making, making them “Raw Material Risk Manager” capable to identify and take action to mitigate their supply risks. The certification is conducted in accordance with in accordance with ISO/IEC 17024.
What are the aims of the certification?
IRTC Raw Material Risk Managers (Basic Level) are capable to identify and take action to mitigate their specific company supply risks. Amongst others, they are able to:
- define risks associated to criticality
- apply risk concepts to raw material security of supply
- distinguish different levels of analysis
- know common risk types for specific stakeholder groups
- know the common criticality assessment methodologies
- know criticality indicators and their data bases
- understand regulatory frameworks related to critical raw materials, particularly the European Critical Raw Materials Act
Upcoming certifications
The next confirmed online examinations for obtaining the IRTC Raw Material Risk Manager certificate will take place on
- December 19, 2024, from 2-3 CET
- March 6, 2025, from 1-2 pm CET.
Examination regulations
The certifications will be executed by the Fraunhofer Personnel Certification Authority (more information on the Fraunhofer Website).
